If you know farmers or you are a good sales person (or both!), you might like our incentive program.

What is the Incentive Program and How Does It Work?

LivestockCity is still largely unknown to the agriculture community, and as all new businesses know, it can be challenging to get established.   This incentive program is for one specific feature of many that we offer, which is our online auction platform.   Our online auctions are for animals (cattle, horses, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens)  and for things like ATVs, farm vehicles, hay, farm equipment/tools, semen , and embryos.   These are 100% online auctions, not live.  Though sometimes we will host an online auction where anyone can consign, the other way is for farmers to set up own auctions (Production sales, dispersals, etc.) on the LivestockCity site, sort of like you can set up your own auction on Ebay.  But we promote and support all sales on the platform, including help with setting up the auction.  We will post about the auctions on social media to promote the sales on the platform.   One more thing about the online auctions – sellers only pay when they sell something,  so if they don’t sell anything in the auction, there’s no charge of any kind.

The incentive program is simply this:  You tell farmers about the online auctions (either send them to us or help them sign up).  You should contact us and let us know you have referred the farm, and we will make sure you are paid if they sell anything.  We will also ask the farm if anyone referred them.  If they have an online auction at LivestockCity and sell at least one animal/item, we pay you and they also get a fee discount.   For example, you bring a farmer to us that has a sale at LivestockCity and sells $10,000 in animals.  Our commission on that sale is $1000 and your commission is $100 and the farm selling also gets $100.  Your commission is always based on our commission.  Can you refer yourself and have a sale? Absolutely you can! And you can do it repeatedly , as long as this incentive program is still running.  It probably will keep running as we  get established.

Why are we doing this?

As we mentioned, we are still new and a platform that most farmers have not heard of, but we think we have a great platform and we want to quickly grow.  The second reason is that we want to help farmers and people in general.  If we can help you make some income while we are also trying to grow, then really a win for everyone.  If you are tight on funds and could use some extra money, this is for you.   Sometimes it might only take you sending an email or a phone call to get a farm to sign up for an auction, and you will get paid for minimal time invested.

Who is this program for?

Literally anyone!  It’s for farmers and for those that don’t farm but would like to make some extra cash.  It’s for social media influencers too.   If you know a lot of farmers or have a lot of followers on social media that are farmers, whether you’re one or not, then why not tell them about LivestockCity and encourage them to sign up? There is no financial risk for them to try.    And if you don’t know a single farm, but you’re good at selling, then this could be a great gig for you.  Even high school students could potentially make some extra cash through this program.

What to do next

If this incentive is for you, then we encourage you to do the following:

1. Contact us – you can use our contact form , so we are aware of your interest.

2. Talk to farms about the auction and have them contact us.

3. For every farm that you contact that is interested in an auction, use this form to submit the farm.  This is not necessary, but it is a good idea.

4.  We don’t recommend just sending us contact information of farms that you didn’t talk with.   It will better for you to contact them first and let them know you are telling us about them.

We are here to help any farm wanting to do an online auction.   We can enter the animal data and photos at no extra cost for an online auction.   Anyone interested but still has questions about the incentive program should contact us.
