LivestockCity was built around our personal farming pain points, but that doesn’t mean they are your pain points! So we are asking the question, “What’s your pain point?” Because LivestockCity is all about making livestock farming more manageable, less frustrating, and more profitable, and we want to make sure our solution fits your issue(s).

The problems we addressed so far

  1. orking. Yes we know LinkedIn and Facebook exist and you might be on these platforms. Great, we think you should be on them. Just realize that when you post farm-related content, non-farmers aren’t interested much and likely not engaging. If you post it too much, they may get annoyed or “mute” you. Non-farmers probably aren’t interested in your cattle photos. What’s needed is a farming network that can be both social and professional and is there to help you find meaningful farming-related connections. Helping you find the farmers both in your area and more distant is how you build a powerful network. It also builds a supportive community and a place to discuss current farming-related issues. There is great support in numbers. New farmers might not know any farmers at all, and having the LivestockCity network is a great way to get connected into the community quickly. This is the “City” part of our name.
  2. Record Keeping. This is a solution that will continue to grow in terms of functionality. It currently covers animal profiles and record keeping. Every single animal gets a profile page, making it easy for you to have information about that animal at your fingertips. It can be shared quickly with others, including veterinarians and prospective buyers. Using the records tool can save you time when it comes to adding new treatment records such as deworming, as you can add one new entry to multiple animals at once.
  3. Marketing. Farmers often can’t rely on just one revenue stream. There are too many factors (weather, market, economy, etc. ) that can affect one revenue stream, so having multiple income sources is necessary. We are creating ways for farmers to maximize their resources and generate new revenue streams.
  4. Buying. Whether it’s buying equipment, hay, new livestock, or farm vehicles, we are trying to make it easy to find those things that farmers need to purchase. We offer both sales listings and online auctions where buyers can find the things they need.

Future services are in the pipeline

We have some more “solutions” planned besides these things, but we cannot launch them yet (pending the attorney stamps of approval). But these things are not too far from being released.
