DECEMBER 2024 NEWS

We’ve made it to the end of the year.  Hopefully it was a good year for you personally and in farming.   If it was not a good year for farming because of low sales or revenue, don’t forget what we are building at LivestockCity!  We started LivestockCity because we felt there was a need for a platform that supports the farming community.  Not just a single type of farm animal, but all types of farm animals.   It doesn’t matter if you breed horses or llamas, LivestockCity is for everyone.  We want to build a large supportive community that lifts up farmers!

 Farm Spotlight Series

We have a blog site located at blog.livestockcity.com that you should check out. We started a new blog series called “Farm Spotlight Series”, where we highlight livestock farms and share the story on all of our social media channels.  It offers a lot of exposure to the farm and it gives us something to write about.  Our preference is for farms that are on LivestockCity (or intend to join).  And this is free but first come first served. If you want an article, all you have to do is answer the questions in this form tally.so/r/nGYzN2 and we can write the article. Space is limited, we don’t need a lot of submittals, so submit early! 

Our first Spotlight was on Clover Brooke Farm – a farm that is maximizing their resources.

New Features coming in 2025

We cannot announce the new features just yet, but there are two new major features coming!  Don’t forget that we have a marketplace called “Farm Stores” where you can sell food products and non-food animal products (wool, clothing, soaps, etc.).  Recently we expanded it to include maple syrup, honey, fruits, and vegetables.  You can sell directly to consumers from our platform. If you want to increase your revenue, this is one way to do it.

Goodbye 2024!

As 2024 closes out, we are preparing for 2025.  What you are going to see from us in 2025 is mobile apps, more features, more activity on social media, more auctions, more activity on LivestockCity, and more active users!  For the last two years, we have spent a lot of time coding and developing, but 2025 will be the first year where it might be a little less of that and just making our features we have better. We hope you will become active on LivestockCity!  If you have not visited in the past 4-6 months, some things have changed, like the profile pages and a new onboarding walkthrough.  Happy Holidays, see you all in 2025!
