Summer is Over

We hope you didn’t work too hard on the farm this summer and had time to do some fun things – go to the lake, the beach, mountains, fish, or do some traveling.  The LivestockCity team had a productive summer working on some new features that we will reveal soon.   We are still on track to meet our goals for 2024, which we think we will by the end of the year.

We’ve Been Busy!

Our posts to social media and even to this blog have dropped off during the summer months until now due to the team being busy with coding/development on these new features we are working on.   Some of it we can tell you about in this blog, and other things we will need to reveal later.   We are a startup company that is still in the early stages and still working on building this magnificent platform for livestock farmers.

When we first started LivestockCity, it was to be a website site farmers to connect, manage herd records, buy/sell animals and farm equipment, etc.   It still encompasses all of that, but with the new features we are working on, we are progressing more towards an everything app for livestock farmers.  In the coming months, you will understand why.   In addition, we didn’t consider that our platform would also open up a secondary group of users – the consumers!  With the Farm Stores marketplace, the general consumer can come to LivestockCity to browse food products or non-food animal products (wool, yarn, clothing, crafts, etc.) and buy directly from farms.   Recently we just updated the website.   We added an onboarding section for new users.  However, even existing users can use the onboarding introduction to LivestockCity.   Just go under “Edit Profile” and look for the “Get Started” button.   It is a great way to get a quick overview about what we offer.  Other changes were just optimizations or enhancements for user experience and some bug fixes.

Farm Spotlight Series

As mentioned months ago, we will be highlighting farms on our blog.  This is a free opportunity to tell others about your farm, animals, and what you are doing.  If you are interested in being a part of this, contact us!
