Do you have animals or farm equipment that you would like to sell? Our online auctions can be for animals or items (hay, farm equipment/vehicles, farm handheld tools, embryos, livestock semen, etc.).

Fees

There are no fees to start an auction. All animals/items that sell are subject to 10% commission per site user agreement. This includes animals/items that didn’t sell in the auction but sold soon after because they were discovered from the sale.

The Process

The process is easy to set up and does not require assistance from LiveStockCity, but we are here to support or intervene for those that want our help.

The steps involved are as follows:

Step 1

Login to your LiveStockCity account or Sign Up for free if you don’t already have an account.

Step 2

Set up your user profile and farm profiles. You can do this from the drop down menu in the top right corner of the menu where your username appears. This part is important, as it helps prospective buyers know more about you.

Step 3

From the navigation bar, select “My Records.”

Step 5

Step 7

Click the “New Auction” button. Step 5

Step 8

Complete the following form for your auction: Select whether you are selling animals or farm items (including embryos or livestock semen). If selling animals, choose between selling them as a group for one price or individually. If selling as a group, select the animals in the group, set a reserve price, and determine bidding increments. If selling individually, create separate entries for each animal, including details such as opening bid, reserve price, transportation policy, and optional “buy it now” option. Once all animals are entered, provide a title for your sale (e.g., 5K Farms Production Sale), set start/end dates, and specify bidding increments (recommended: $250 if reserve price is over $1000). Click Submit to finalize your auction.

Step 5

After the sale concludes, buyers will make payments directly to LivestockCity. The seller will receive a notification once the buyer has made the payment. It is important to note that the animal should only be transferred to the new buyer after the payment has been received. Once the animal has been transferred to the buyer, the seller will receive payment from LivestockCity after deducting the applicable commission fees.
